I can't believe July is already gone. Where does the time go, anyway? Since my last post, Lizzie has grown her first tooth. It turned out to not be a molar, but her front bottom right tooth. Gotta tell you I was kinda relieved. I don't really need to feel molars chomping on me while nursing... yet.

She was quite grumpy (for Lizzie, which still is good by the standard of most babies) for a few days, wanting Mommy to hold her all the time. And she drooled and spit up everywhere. She was going through several changes of clothes per day, and bibs, and got a bath every night because she smelled so sour...until the morning of Saturday, July 26, when I noticed her little tooth had poked through. Here is a picture of her waking up from her nap a few days after her tooth came. She was using Pretty Baby as a pillow. Isn't that sweet?

Lizzie loves to feel the tooth with her pointy dragon tongue. It took me a while to get the above picture of her tooth because her tongue kept getting in the way. Persistence pays off, though!

It seems I have my happy baby back...at least for a few more days before she starts working on the next tooth:) Here's a look at the little face I see every morning after feeding her "breakfast!"
